I am not sure where I got this from, most likely Facebook. It speaks to me. When we are in the dance of our lives many things come our way and are presented. What if we were never to judge them? This poem is one of gratitude. What would your life be like if you were in a place of gratitude for everything that showed up? Would you have more ease in your life? Would you judge you less? Would you be willing to have total faith that everything in your life in this moment is invited by you from a higher intelligence? This being Human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they're a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The Dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.
